Standard Topguide
The standard topguide is a low profile anodized aluminum extrusion (similar to a door threshold) that is mounted on top of the cement deck on both sides of the pool.
Horizontal Flushdeck Guide
This cover guide is embedded into and flush with the pool deck. The guide housing is set in place before the deck is poured to create a cavity that the cover guide is inserted and mounted into. The guide is finished with a trouble-free outdoor architectural grade paint that matches the standard flushdeck lid.

A popular way to cover a freeform pool is to create a rectangular step-up area around the pool. The "Pool-in-Pool" guide encapsulation option creates an attractive integrated look that makes the cover guide nearly invisible

How do I know if my cover needs to be replaced?
Look for tearing and discoloration
Pool chemicals, temperature variations and ultra violet light can break down the pool cover fabric over time. Look for cracks, peeling and weak spots on the cover where water may be seeping through the surface
Fray, cut, or disintegrate stitching
Traditional sewn webbing is a likely source of cover problems. On standard pool covers, sewn threads can become frayed, cut or disintegrate over time, leading to cover failure. Remember, a cover with sewn webbing is only as safe as the stitching that holds it together.
Fabric Texture
Pool cover fabric should be pliable and supple. When a cover becomes too stiff and brittle, there’s a good chance the fabric may need to be replaced.
Bunching around sewn edges
Covers with sewn webbing have a tendency to bunch up around the rope, which may cause the fabri to catch and tear on the fabric guides.

Cover Fabric That Exceeds the Need

Gliders & Sliders
The guide feed on the end of the cover guides prevent the ropes from snagging and tearing the cover. Because they are made from stainless steel, they last forever. Other systems use plastic guide feeds that can wear out quickly and cause the cover to come out of the guide and fall to the bottom of the pool.
Stainless Steel Rope Guide Feed
Heavy duty sliders are the strongest in the industry. An extra slide channel prevents binding and stress that wears on the mechanism. Sliders without these features can bind in the guides, causing jerky motion of the cover in operation and causing early failure.
